Some news for my Sugga!

With the help of the swedish www.mfhf.se site about military vehicles. I finaly found 2 omf 102 holders. These holders are usualy placed under the table in the rear compartment.

I asked Mats, who had these parts, if he had some radios too. He answered to me having Ra122 and Ra120. therefore I decided to buy one Ra 122.

As the transport to France is expensive and not really accurate for the radio, and as I was not in hurry for receiving the parts. Mats gave to me a nice idea, waiting for him coming to France for the D-Day Anniversary days.

He would come with others friends of him on american military vehicles.

I only would have to wait...

But it finally happened. On the beginning of june, we met, in an highway stop, after Rouen, on the 2nd of June, late in the evening. This was a nice, for Sylvie and I, to meet all these soldiers on the road to Colleville and Omaha Beach.

He gave to me the holders and this Ra 122 to be placed in my Sugga!

"La fête du Village"

Story of #590Posted by gduhem Wed, July 30, 2008 14:39:56

This last week-end, as every year, occurred in Conteville, where my Sugga is, the Village Festival. 2 days long, with rides, second hand goods dealing and grills!! As it is in the countryside, a 4x4 Quad exhibition too.

This year, for the first time, a small exhibition of old vehicles was organised and as I’m known as a atypical car owner, I was asked if I was agree for participating with my Sugga.

Of course I said “Yes, why not!” It is just for fun, for giving new ideas for the festival and may be having more exhibitors next year!! There were few cars and motor trucks : an old Citroën fireman’s lorry, a military Marmon, and few old farm tractors.

Here’s the tractor of my neighbour and friend Adolphe, a 1957 SOMECA. As he says: “Avec SOMECA, pas de tracas!” (with SOMECA, no Troubles at all!!)

Well, this was the occasion for showing and describing this amazing car (and previously to show it, complete cleaning it, with the help of my lovely Sylvie!!). And of course, driving a little. Always great!!

Blog ImageI put in Front of my Sugga a short description of the car, 2 old pictures and global sizes, to have an overview. Blog Image

This is a .doc file, A3 size.

This was a very nice sunny day, with a lot of people, sometimes impressed by the Sugga. I’ll do it next time again for sure!!
