The #590 I bought from Andrew Hills (see the “Sows” Section) was built in 1957. Its mileage is quite high : around 83500km, according what I heard from such military cars. He had several owners. Andrew gave me the past of the #590, after being imported in UK.
The next owner would be French this time, but before this, I had to bring back the Sugga in the north of France, in the country, where it is now. Facing a map, Newcastle-Conteville (a nice small village in the Somme) is an around 700 km trip!!! Well, as I was not confident with the English way of driving, the Swedish tp21 way of driving, and as I wouldn’t want to be ruined due to the fuel, I decided to bring it with a company specialized in the transport of classic cars.
My Sugga arrived on a warm day, the 23rd of july. This was the main event of the day in Conteville. Why? 2 English trucks with classic cars in a small village: that’s unusual!!! There were beautiful cars in the trucks: Cadillac convertible, Ford Mustang, ECA race cars and a classic one I don’t know with a polished aluminium body: Magnificent!!
And my Sugga, of course!!! The Sugga seemed to be the intruder within all these beautiful cars.
It was a great day, after nearly 2 years, to finally seat inside the One!!
